Jake Carver: Songs carved from real life.

Songs carved from real life.

A half-finished wooden porch swing on two sawhorses in a woodshop at golden hour
The swing. Still in the shop.

The story

She left for the city.
He stayed.

Jake Carver is a 29-year-old carpenter from a small town in the American South. The love of his life left for a better life in the city. He stayed, with a half-finished porch swing he'd been building for her.

That's where the songs came from. He writes them the way his father taught him to build: by hand, slow, and made to last.
